"You are today where your thoughts have brought you;
you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you."
That’s a very good platitude to keep with you always. It is your thoughts and yours alone that have brought you to the place in this life where you now are. If you are happy with the place where you are, that’s good. In fact it is wonderful to be satisfied with your station in life. All is at peace within. Everything is just great and you suffer no problems whatsoever.
However, if that is not the case, then simply remember the advice above, you are bound to be tomorrow where your thoughts take you today. That places a tremendous onus on what we ourselves think! Can you live with that concept?
You, and you alone can get yourself where you want to be by what you think! That is hard to really get into one’s consciousness, but dear friends it is absolutely true. It is what you allow your mind to concentrate on that determines where you will be tomorrow. The folk who allow their minds to concentrate on evil, ill-advised thoughts will end up disillusioned at where they find themselves tomorrow. It as true as day follows night and vice versa.
However, the opposite is likewise true. Those men and women who keep their minds active on good, constructive thoughts will inevitably find themselves at peace with themselves and with God. What could possibly be any better than that? Will you tell me?
It was Dr. Walter Doyle Staples, writing in “Think Like a Winner” who said, “I credit one simple concept with getting me started on my journey into self-discovery. After a great deal of study and contemplation, I came to the conclusion that people have in their lives today exactly what they keep telling their mind they want.’
And that dear friends is worth thinking about!
